JOHN CARROLL COUNSELING, GUIDANCE, & COLLEGE CONSULTING:
The JCCHS Counseling Department aims to provide student-centered, developmentally appropriate tools and skills related to social dynamics, academic preparedness, and emotional well-being. In conjunction with VIDAL Access, our non-profit college consulting partner, we offer a comprehensive, 9th-12th grade college and career plan to ensure that our students are successful in high school and beyond.
- Freshman Focus: Transition to High School, Study Strategies, Strengths-based Career Inventory, and Career Exploration (Job Shadowing)
- Sophomore Focus: Endorsement Pathways, Individualized Study Strategies, SAT/ACT Comparison Test, Pre-ACT, Career & Career Exploration (Job Shadowing)
- Junior Focus: College Exploration (Visits), PSAT, SAT/ACT, In-school College Application Boot Camps, 1-on-1 College Consulting Sessions
- Senior Focus: College Exploration (Visits), 1-on-1 College Consulting Sessions, Applying to College, SAT/ACT, Scholarships & Transition to College
