The John Carroll Theatre Department proudly hosted the District 6 Trumbauer
Competition on Saturday, November 2. This exciting event welcomed over 500 students from 16 schools across the Birmingham area.
Not only did the Cavalier Theatre Department host the competition, but many of its students also participated. A total of twenty-two students competed, with 14 of them advancing at least one or two of their pieces/events to the State Competition. This will take place in Huntsville, AL, on December 6 and 7.
The John Carroll thespians achieved remarkable success, securing 23 Superior Rankings and 22 Excellent Rankings. Moreover, their Group Musical piece received a Superior Ranking, narrowly missing the threshold by just 1-2 points to qualify for State.
