BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA - John Carroll Catholic High School is pleased to
announce Mr. Vince Elliott as the school’s new Middle School Athletics Director and Mr. Will Mara as Associate Director of Athletics.
Mr. Vince Elliott has been a dedicated member of the John Carroll community for 8 years. He serves as an assistant football coach and in the spring of 2024 was named as the school’s Athletics Enhancement Specialist, teaching conditioning, weight training, and nutrition.
Mr. Elliott retired in 2022 from a distinguished career as a District Sales Manager for Mondelez International, where he led a sales team responsible for annual sales revenue of $34 million. His accomplishments include winning the 2014 Circle of Champions National Award for Sales vs. Objective Attainment and the 2013 and 2015 Above the Call of Duty (A.B.C.D.) Award for Project Management.
He holds a B.A. in Communications/Public Relations with a minor in English from the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB).
Mr. Will Mara will continue to serve as the head football coach while taking on additional responsibilities as the Associate Director of Athletics. In this role, he will manage John Carroll’s athletic facilities and grounds and assist the new Director of Athletics, Mr. Marty Rozell, with special projects. He will also continue to teach Physical Education.
Mr. Mara is a 2011 graduate of JCCHS and holds a B.S. in General Studies from UAB.
Marty Rozell, JCCHS Director of Athletics, has highly endorsed both Elliott and Mara for their contributions and the positive impact they will bring to John Carroll Athletics.
