John Carroll has announced the nominations for Queen of Hearts 2021! The highest fundraising boys and girl from the freshmen, sophomore, and junior class will be named Prince and Princess of Hearts, respectively. The top fundraising boy from the senior class will be crowned King of Hearts and the top fundraising senior girl will be crowned Queen of Hearts. Call outs and crowning will take place on Friday, March 12th.
The nominees will be fundraising via their online donations page. Additionally, there will be Queen of Hearts T-shirts available to order through Friday, February 19th. If you place an order, be sure and type the name of your preferred nominee in the comments/notes section. $5 from each sale made in their name will go towards each nominee’s fundraising goal.
Each year, the money raised during Queen of Hearts gets distributed as needs arise in our community. Organizations such as, Her Choice Women’s Center, Edmunite Ministries in Vredenburgh, The Birmingham Catholic Center of Concern, International Catholic Relief Services have all benefited. Just this past month we were able to use last year’s fundraising to match donations to The LoveLady Center and to buy supplies for a hygiene drive benefiting Food for Our Journey.
