John Carroll Catholic High School offers a rigorous college preparatory academic program that equips students with the skills necessary for success in college and careers.
In addition, John Carroll's academic courses are aligned with the Catholic Curriculum Standards and the recommendations of the US Council of Catholic Bishops. All of our instruction and learning are guided by the Catholic intellectual tradition, which encourages students to enthusiastically seek knowledge that will inform their moral development and create positive changes in the world.

2024 NATIONAL MERIT FINALIST
In September of 2024 officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to JCCHS senior Will Magruder for being recognized as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist! Will is the son of Billy and Terri Magruder and attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School K-8th grade.
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.
