ACADEMICS AT JOHN CARROLL
John Carroll Catholic High School offers a rigorous college preparatory academic program that equips students with the skills necessary for success in college and careers.
In addition, John Carroll's academic courses are aligned with the Catholic Curriculum Standards and the recommendations of the US Council of Catholic Bishops. All of our instruction and learning are guided by the Catholic intellectual tradition, which encourages students to enthusiastically seek knowledge that will inform their moral development and create positive changes in the world.
2026 NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
In September of 2025 officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to JCCHS senior Jean-Paul Plaisance for being recognized as a National Merit Scholarship Winner! Jean-Paul attended St. Rose Academy (K-8th).
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.
