John Carroll Catholic High School is a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham. As such, it reports to the Bishop, The Most Reverend Steven Raica, JCD, through the Catholic Schools Office, Mrs. Margaret Dubose, Superintendent.

JCCHS is led by its President, Fr. Jon Chalmers, who is the chief executive officer and canonical administrator.

JCCHS has an Advisory Board with defined responsibilities led by Mr. Tell Allesio, Chair.

The Advisory Board has the following committees: Catholic Identity, Communications, Facilities, and Finance.

Particular initiatives for each committee:

Catholic Identity: Stewarding and showcasing our Catholic identity.

Communications: Ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged.

Facilities: Planning for the long-term sustainability of the campus and engaging with campus master planning.

Finance: Monthly review of financial reporting, tuition recommendation, and long-term financial modeling.

Both the administration and the Advisory Board are informed by the Strategic Plan of the Diocese's Catholic Schools Office and the NCEA's National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools.
