Directions for Applying to John Carroll

Step 1:  Create a John Carroll RenWeb User Account

Step 2:  Admission Application
Enter username & password created in Step 1 to login and complete the admission application.
FOR: Transfer students for Spring 2017 or 2017-2018 school year
WHEN: Please contact the Guidance Office to schedule (205-940-2400).
BRING: Transcript and calculator

**Please print recommendation forms, sign and send to your student’s previous school.

Please complete the remaining steps to enroll for the 2017-2018 school year.
Step 3:  Create John Carroll FACTS tuition and fee account
1. If you have an existing Tuition Payment Plan through FACTS and have already created a user account, please enter your existing username and password and click "Sign In." If you are a New FACTS User, please select "Create a username & password."
2. Click on the Set Up a Payment Plan (email Sarah Maze, with questions). 
3. Select the appropriate school year.
4. Complete the steps as prompted.
Step 4:  Complete the John Carroll Enrollment Application

Enter the username & password created in Step 1 to login.
Click:  Family Information (Left side menu bar)
Click:  Enrollment / Reenrollment
Click:  Start Enrollment Packet

W-2's (other documents may be required depending on your tax return information)

The application takes about 30 minutes to complete.

For 2017-2018 School Year

Incoming 9th Grade
Applicants to the ninth grade are encouraged to attend the annual Open House in October and are required to take the placement test on November 12, 2016. Applicants also spend a full or half-day visiting classes. Students who apply to the ninth grade are admitted on the basis of the placement test, previous academic records, teacher recommendations, student interview, and completion of all admission requirements by the stated deadlines. Any student interested in applying to ninth grade after the December test dates, should contact the Admissions Office.

Transfer Students
Transfer applicants must complete an application and placement test, submit teacher recommendations, and forward a transcript showing recent standardized test scores. Transfer admission decisions are made by the Admissions Committee, which reviews all aspects of a student’s application in light of space availability.
