435 Environmental Science

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This hands-on course permits students to reinforce and refine their science knowledge and skills as well as to aid their understanding of the relationship between ecological science and society.  Areas of study include the earth science branches of ecology, meteorology, geology, and energy.  The course also builds upon previous knowledge in biology and physical science.  Some chemistry and human physiology will be presented in rudimentary fashion in order to reinforce the knowledge of those who have already studied these areas and serve as an introduction for those who have not.  Recycling is a component of this course.
