Giving Information

In answer to the many questions regarding the fundraising efforts at JCCHS we offer the following information about where and how you can give.
John Carroll Catholic High School Annual Giving.

Annual Fund- The Annual Fund is direct support for the annual operating expenses of JCCHS.  This fund closes the gap in the annual budget between monies collected from tuition and actual expenses of operation.  All of the JCCHS alumni and friends receive a fall and spring direct mail request for annual funding.  These appeals are the only two direct requests that are sent out for the Annual Fund.  We need the participation of more alumni to support the educational programs at JCCHS.

The Carrollife Fund - The Carrollife Fund helps defray the expenses of producing and mailing the newsletter twice a year.  Your support of the newsletter allows us to keep you updated on the John Carroll Catholic Community.  Each edition of the newsletter costs approximately $10,000.  Please remember to keep us informed about changes of address-this will help to keep our returned postage costs down.

Memorials and Tributes - Some of our alumni and friends designate JCCHS to receive Memorials for their family and friends who have passed away.  Tributes are sent into the Annual Fund to honor alumni, recent graduates, birthdays and anniversaries.

John Carroll Catholic Educational Foundation
Through the John Carroll Catholic Educational Foundation, you can make an investment to ensure the future of John Carroll Catholic High School.   We want to continue to lay a firm foundation to fulfill our goals of tuition assistance, meeting the capital needs of JCCHS and support of JCCHS. This mission helps give our students a faith-based education and a faith base for their future.

The Foundation includes: The Endowment Fund, The Endowed Choir Fund, Endowed Scholarship Fund, The Legacy Society, and Planned Gifts.

The Foundation maintains the Endowment Fund, which provides tuition assistance. Each year, 95 percent of the interest on this account helps to provide tuition assistance for approximately 170 JCCHS families. The Endowment Fund also serves as a means as well as a vehicle to raise capital funds that meet the “bricks and mortar” needs of JCCHS.

Another Foundation Fund is the Endowed Choir Fund. This fund was created at the retirement of 27-year choirmaster, Ken Berg. These gifts that honored Mr. Berg allows the JCCHS Choir to use 95 percent of its interest to support the needs of the choir.

The Endowed Scholarship Fund was created this year. Currently there are two scholarships: The Marjorie Champion Salamone Scholarship Fund and the Ernest A. Muro Scholarship Fund. These two scholarships are awarded each year to a graduating senior. The funds are kept in an endowment account to earn maximum interest.

The Legacy Society is part of the Endowment Fund. These gifts are bequests from the estates of those persons whohave left JCCHS in their wills.
Planned Gifts which come in many forms such as deferred gifts, and insurance policies are also a part of the Endowment Fund.

Thank you for partnering with us to continue our tradition of academic excellence
in a Christ-centered learning environment.
